Materials We Do Not Accept

For safety and environmental reasons, we do not accept the following:

  • Hazardous or toxic materials (e.g. lead-based paint chips, mercury)
  • Radioactive materials
  • Pressurized containers (e.g. propane tanks, gas cylinders, fire extinguishers)
    • We can accept these ONLY if they have been safely cut fully in half.
  • Electronic waste (e-waste) – computers, monitors, TVs, etc.
  • Treated wood or non-metal debris
  • Paint cans or chemical containers
  • Railroad Scrap (without a release from the Railroad)

Bring a valid photo ID with your scrap metal, as required by Texas law.
