How It Works
1. What To Bring
Bring your sorted scrap metal and a valid photo ID (required by Texas Law). We’re happy to help unload and once you’re here.
2. What to Expect
When you arrive, our team will weigh your metals and work to get you paid quickly. Our team will walk you through the process and answer any of your questions.
3. How to Get Paid
After your scrap is processed, we will get you paid that day, including for copper, which means no waiting period.

Common Items We Don’t Accept
There are some items we cannot accept. These include:
- Household Trash and Garbage
- TVs, Laptops and Electronics
- Paint cans that still have paint inside them
- Plastic
- Sealed Containers
- Microwaves
- Dishwashers
Common Items with Special Requirements
Some items require meeting special requirements before we can accept them:
- Vehicles – To bring a vehicle, you must have the vehicle’s title. Trying to scrap an abandoned vehicle? Learn more at TxDMV.gov
- Propane Tanks, Aerosol Cans, and other Pressurized Containers must be cut completely in half.
- Batteries – We accept lead/acid batteries like car and lawnmower batteries, but do not accept household batteries like AA or AAA or those containing lithium

Do I need to bring an ID to sell my scrap?
For aluminum, copper, lead and brass items, Texas law requires that you bring a valid photo ID to sell your scrap.
How do I get paid?
